Tasty Homemade Chickpea Chips are crispy, protein-packed snacks made from chickpea flour and simple seasonings, baked until golden and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk chickpea flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add water, olive oil, and lemon juice, whisking until smooth and lump-free.
- Spread batter thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until set but not browned.
- Remove from oven, cut into chip-sized pieces using a pizza cutter.
- Return to oven and bake another 8–12 minutes until crisp and golden.
- Cool completely before serving to allow chips to crisp fully.
Notes
- Spread batter very thin for extra crispiness.
- Season with chili powder or herbs for variation.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
