Description

This Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls Recipe combines two comfort food favorites — buttery, garlicky bread and saucy spaghetti — all in one fun, edible bowl. Perfect for cozy dinners, parties, or when you want to impress with a creative twist on classic pasta night.

Ingredients

  • 4 small round bread loaves or large rolls (sourdough or Italian)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 2 cups marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the tops off the bread loaves and hollow out the centers, leaving about 1/2 inch of bread around the edges to form bowls. Set aside the tops for serving if desired.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Brush the inside and outside of each bread bowl with the garlic butter mixture. Place bowls on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.
  5. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. If using meat, brown ground beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  7. Add marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Fill each toasted bread bowl with spaghetti mixture. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Return to the oven for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use bakery-style bread rolls that are sturdy enough to hold the pasta without getting soggy.
  • Brush with extra garlic butter for an even richer flavor.
  • Can substitute spaghetti with fettuccine or penne for variation.
  • Great for individual servings or as a fun dinner party idea.
