Description

Slow Cooker Meatballs are tender, juicy meatballs gently simmered in a rich, flavorful sauce, making them perfect for an easy weeknight dinner, party appetizer, or meal prep favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix gently until just combined and form into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs on all sides (optional but recommended).
  4. Place meatballs into the slow cooker.
  5. Pour marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until fully cooked and tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Browning the meatballs adds extra flavor but can be skipped for convenience.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or as a sandwich filling.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen.
