Slow Cooker Meatballs are tender, juicy meatballs gently simmered in a rich, flavorful sauce, making them perfect for an easy weeknight dinner, party appetizer, or meal prep favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs on all sides (optional but recommended).
- Place meatballs into the slow cooker.
- Pour marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours until fully cooked and tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Browning the meatballs adds extra flavor but can be skipped for convenience.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or as a sandwich filling.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen.
