Ingredients

  • 16 oz fresh button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or parsley


Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and sauté until soft and translucent.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and tender.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–8 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
