Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Scatter the chopped bacon evenly over the asparagus.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15โ18 minutes, until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the cheese evenly on top.
- Return to the oven for 3โ5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with red pepper flakes.
