Description
This One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta is a simple, rich, and comforting dish made with tender pasta cooked directly in a luscious garlic cream sauce. It’s a quick, no-fuss meal that comes together in one pot — perfect for busy weeknights or when you need an easy comfort food fix.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth, milk, salt, and pepper, then bring to a gentle boil.
- Add the pasta and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, until pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese and cream cheese (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and add a splash of milk if the sauce is too thick.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
- Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or veggies to make it a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be reheated with a bit of milk to restore creaminess.
