Description

Maple Bourbon Pecan Chicken is a sweet, savory, and nutty dish featuring juicy chicken breasts glazed with a rich maple-bourbon sauce and topped with toasted pecans. Perfect for a cozy dinner or special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add butter, garlic, bourbon, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Top with toasted pecans and spoon additional sauce over before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for a richer flavor.
  • Use a non-alcoholic bourbon alternative if preferred.
