Description

This Hot Honey Infused Feta Chicken is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory. Juicy chicken breasts are baked with a creamy, tangy feta sauce and drizzled with homemade hot honey for a restaurant-worthy dinner that’s bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • For the Feta Sauce:
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • For the Hot Honey:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 tsp hot sauce (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley or thyme, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, mix feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes until creamy.
  5. Spread the feta mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the skillet or baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
  7. Meanwhile, prepare the hot honey: in a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Warm over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently (do not boil).
  8. Drizzle the hot honey over the baked chicken just before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme and serve with rice, couscous, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Adjust heat level by adding more or less hot sauce to your honey.
  • Try using chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
  • The feta sauce also pairs beautifully with grilled shrimp or roasted veggies.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
