Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- For the Feta Sauce:
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- For the Hot Honey:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1–2 tsp hot sauce (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- Fresh parsley or thyme, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, mix feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes until creamy.
- Spread the feta mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the skillet or baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
- Meanwhile, prepare the hot honey: in a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Warm over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently (do not boil).
- Drizzle the hot honey over the baked chicken just before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme and serve with rice, couscous, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
- Adjust heat level by adding more or less hot sauce to your honey.
- Try using chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
- The feta sauce also pairs beautifully with grilled shrimp or roasted veggies.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
