Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and grease 4 ramekins.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugar until combined.
  4. Add eggs and egg yolks, beating until smooth and glossy.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding gently until just combined.
  7. Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Let rest for 2 minutes, then carefully invert onto plates.
  10. Serve immediately while warm and gooey.
