Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and grease 4 ramekins.
- Melt dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
- Whisk in sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and egg yolks, beating until smooth and glossy.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding gently until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Let rest for 2 minutes, then carefully invert onto plates.
- Serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
- Do not overbake to maintain the gooey center.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
