Description
A rich and indulgent ribeye steak topped with a decadent garlic cream sauce, perfect for a gourmet dinner at home.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 10 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat ribeye steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear ribeye steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove and rest under foil.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir, scraping any browned bits from the pan.
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese and herbs, simmering until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Return steaks briefly to the pan to coat with sauce or serve steaks topped with sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Let steaks rest after searing to retain juices.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- Pairs well with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side of pasta.
