Description

Cozy Snickerdoodle Cobbler is a warm, comforting dessert with a soft cinnamon-sugar cookie topping and a gooey, buttery base, perfect served fresh from the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter evenly over the melted butter without stirring.
  6. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  7. Carefully pour hot water over the entire dish without stirring.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Do not stir after adding water; it creates the cobbler sauce.
  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated.
