Description

Cozy Honey-Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread is a warm, comforting quick bread made with wholesome oats, natural honey, and fragrant cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. Pour boiling water over the oats and let sit for 10 minutes until softened.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix honey, oil, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the soaked oats to the wet ingredients and stir well.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
  • Optional: add chopped nuts or raisins for extra texture.
