Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 8–10 minutes until crisp and lightly golden.
  3. In a bowl, mix diced strawberries with sugar and vanilla extract. Set aside to macerate.
  4. Melt dark chocolate with coconut oil or butter using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  5. Spread a layer of melted chocolate over each toasted bread slice.
  6. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly on top of the chocolate layer.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  8. Serve immediately or slightly chilled.
