Description
Cheesy Garlic Rolls are soft, fluffy bread rolls brushed with fragrant garlic butter and stuffed or topped with melted cheese, making them the perfect side dish or snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk and melted butter, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal portions.
- Flatten each portion slightly, add a bit of mozzarella cheese, and shape into rolls.
- Place rolls seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix softened butter with minced garlic and parsley.
- Brush garlic butter over the rolls and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- You can add chili flakes for a spicy version.
