Cheesy Garlic Butter Chicken is a rich and comforting dish made with juicy chicken breasts cooked in garlic butter and smothered in melted cheese, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the chicken.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables.
- You can add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
- Avoid high heat once cream is added to prevent splitting.
