Description

A luxurious twist on the classic bruschetta, featuring creamy burrata cheese over toasted bread topped with juicy tomatoes, olive oil, and fresh basil.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)
  • 1 burrata cheese ball (about 8 oz)
  • Fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Toast for 5–7 minutes, until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Let sit for 10 minutes to marinate.
  4. Place burrata on a serving platter or divide pieces among toasted bread slices.
  5. Spoon tomato mixture over burrata and drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using.
  6. Top with fresh basil and an extra drizzle of olive oil before serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality burrata and ripe tomatoes for the best flavor.
  • Can be served as an appetizer or light lunch with a side salad.
  • For a smoky flavor, grill the bread instead of baking it.
