Description
A bold, indulgent fusion lasagna layered with BBQ-seasoned ground beef, smoky bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and creamy sauce for the ultimate cheeseburger-inspired comfort dish.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional toppings: pickles, green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with diced onion until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, and BBQ sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Stir in chopped cooked bacon and remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix ricotta and egg until smooth.
- Assemble lasagna: spread a thin layer of meat mixture in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add a layer of noodles, then ricotta mixture, meat mixture, cheddar, and mozzarella.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Top with pickles or green onions if desired.
Notes
- Use smoked bacon for extra flavor depth.
- Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
- Substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce before serving for more sweetness and smoky flavor.
