Description

Banana Oatmeal Bars are soft, wholesome bars made with ripe bananas and hearty oats, perfect for a healthy breakfast, snack, or on-the-go treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in honey or maple syrup, oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
  5. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness.
  • These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • You can add dried fruit like raisins or cranberries for variety.
